Bhanu Kapil: Desires & Practices / Daal
Drawing from Desires & Practices, a body of protocols developed across twenty-five years of teaching, Bhanu Kapil invites the Field Studies participants to develop short works, thinking and responses alongside the collective cooking of daal. The evening opens this process to the public, gathering around the table to share food alongside performances and work developed during the day.
About Present Tense
Present Tense is a five-day teaching residency led by a group of international artists and practitioners that approaches performance not as the culmination of solitary practice, but as a form of group research and collective practice. Public events in this series feature performances by artists and tutors who develop new work with the students during the days. Access to daytime artists‘ talks and workshops is included in the full residency pass and day tickets.
